This is the document around which to build or restructure your Festival, the floor plan, the model.
After engaging in conversations with the festival team on the goals for the event, a Company principal performs a site evaluation, scouting the surrounding locations, venues and local businesses. From there, a custom Festival Blueprint is developed for each client, which includes the following:
- Programming – Based on the goals for the festival and the projected audience, a programming model is developed, from the section layout to the structure of the department.
- Operations – The section covers the recommended staffing needs, and provides suggestions for office systems to support the scope of your event.
- Hospitality – From filmmaker relations to development of hospitality lounge, these key elements will be addressed.
- Special Events – Depending on the scope of the festival, concepts for galas, tributes, receptions and panels will be outlined.
- Box Office – Following theater and audience analysis, box office revenue projections will be presented, which will include general admissions, gala tickets and pass sales.
- Sources of Funds – Sponsorships, Fundraisers, Cinema Societies and other creative sources will be explored, based on each respective festival’s audience and marketing potential.
- Marketing – From local advertising, to creative national campaigns and sponsorship tie-ins, these concepts will help to brand the festival and sell tickets.
- Festival Timeline – This outline will serve as a guide, with action items and staffing suggestions according to the scope of your event.
- Budget – This excel document includes expense layout by department, as well as revenue projections by category.
